Curative Measures
Curative measures involve surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, gene therapy, organ transplant, and/or treatment that would attempt to "cure" the patient's body of the disease or illness.
An "end-stage" or "terminal" diagnosis describes the supposition that there is no further curative measures available, and the patient will be afflicted by this disease, causing death.
